San Francisco

Kyle planned a surprise weekend getaway
So we packed our bags and Friday morning we were on the 101 driving North
about an hour and half into our trip we got a flat tire, so we pulled over to throw on the spare.
The tires we had on the car were "special" and so that made it impossible to get the spare on. So we found a guy at the truck stop who patched our tire so that we could drive 2 miles down the road to the tire shop
The Tire King
There we got all new tires for our car (had to get the most expensive ones on because that's all they had in at that time)
So 3 1/2 hours and $XXX later we were frustrated and back on the road headed to our destination, which was...
 San Francisco

That night we just walked around and had dinner at a little pizza shop.
Neither of us had ever stayed in San Francisco, so it was something we had both wanted to do.
I had no idea there were sooo many homeless people there!

The next day Kyle had spa treatments planned.
{My favorite thing to do}
We went to the spa around 11, got our couples massage and then hung out at the spa for hours after, enjoying the pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna
 I would have to say that the Nob Hill Spa was the best part of the getaway

We went back to our hotel after and got ready and took the trolly to Pier 39

There were only 2 sea lions out on the docks, which was a bummer
and it was so windy but we had a fun time walking around and being tourist
 {Alcatraz Island behind us. We didn't get to take a tour of it, but it is something we both wanted to do}

 We had fun at IT'SUGAR

Our Hotel was nice and we were on the top floor- 17th floor
This was our view from our room

Sunday morning we woke up, checked out of our hotel and went to see the Golden Gate Bridge
There was no where to park and so many people so we didn't get a picture from the normal spot, but we got one
{The Golden Gate Bridge is that small arch in the background. haha.}

We had a fun weekend because we were together
We learned a lot of lessons as a young married couple
We probably won't be visiting San Francisco again anytime soon
and we now know that we never want to live up north, its just not for us!

I'm so grateful for my sweet husband and that he is so thoughtful! I couldn't ask for anyone better
