A Merry Little Christmas

We had such a wonderful Christmas!
We love spending time with my family and I was sad to leave.
I decided that I can just expect tears from now on every time I leave my family.

We did a lot of baking
And made way too many treats
but they were good

Kyle and I decided to make these every year at Christmas
chocolate caramel covered pretzels
They are delicious, but so much work
So we will make them once a year....Christmas

 Us girls ready to bake!!
{Don't mind the awful clothes, hair or last nights make up faces}
 Lexie's famous mini Idaho spuds

 Lacie was baking Oreo balls

Stirring the caramel- I was there for at least 1 hour after this picture

Mom was doing everything!

And while we baked, the boys fixed the water heater

We had our usual family Christmas Eve party
My cousin Gina always has it over at her house
{which we are so grateful for}

 Gina, Tony and Letti

Uncle Grant, Aunt Barbara and Letti

 Kyle and I

We even had a special visit from Santa

Us getting ready to go to the party
Everyone wore red and white

Then we had a little program, some of the younger kids sang
Jodi sang while Chad played the guitar
She has an amazing voice

Kyle and Lexie sang a Christmas song in Spanish
 My cousin Kristy and I

Chad, Jodi, Hayley & Kyle
Jodi and I have always been close, being cousins and best friends
So it's fun that we got married exactly 2 months apart

We also had a white elephant gift exchange
The boys were in one circle and the girls in the other

 The party was so fun
I am so grateful to have the awesome family that I do
We have so much fun together
Christmas morning

Our first Christmas as Mr. and Mrs. Maddux

The girls

This year our pajama theme was...
CAL POLY!!
Just because our favorite football player plays for them

My Mom did things a little different this year...
We didn't have our usual Christmas stockings
She got everyone a different one, and these were ours

After church on Christmas

We had a fun time making gingerbread houses

Ours turned out to be pretty cute
We even had chimney, thanks to my future structural engineer

The Maddux's first gingerbread house

We had a great New Years Eve
We ate a yummy dinner my Mom fixed
and played lots of games with our cousins

We went to Twin Falls to visit my Grandma Norma

We were also able to visit Kyle's Aunt and Uncle for the day in Cliffton, Idaho
Kyle's Grandpa's grave is just down the road from where they live
so we were able to visit him too

2011 was a great year
the highlight was...
We were able to be sealed in the Rexburg temple
and we are so happily married

2012 is going to be a wonderful year
We are so excited to see what this new year will bring us
and we are even more excited that we will be together every step of the way

Happy New Year!!
