I stopped posting about everyday once we got to the big island, and that is because we didn't go go go as much- we just relaxed!
On December 26th we flew from Oahu to Kona then we drove about 20 mins to Waikoloa Village where we were staying
(view from our balcony)
It was so pretty and such a cute new development
There were shops all around and lots of other Hotels and Condos
We went up to the Waikoloa Hilton one day
They have a tram that takes you around because the Hotel is so big
Brittany and I
They even had dolphins to play with
(For a large amount of course$$$)
The dolphins were so cute, some of them even had babies
We rented mopeds one day and rode around Waikoloa Village
We have never rode Mopeds before so it was a first for us
We loved it!!
Big guy on a little ride
Beach Day
Hapuna Beach
The waves here were huge. They are the #1 beach in the state for spinal cord injuries
We saw a man being pulled from the water-way too scary.
None of us got in.
We didn't spend too much time at the beach, since we live right by it and aren't huge fans of the sand
But I'm glad we went at least one day, it was crazy watching the huge waves
Julia and I have the same suit, so we had to get a picture together
Our sweet Biya, Kyle's Grandma, took us all out to dinner at ROYS on Sunday night
It was so delicious
Kyle's grandparents met us at the big island for the week
Almost everybody got Macadamia Nut Crusted Mahi Mahi.
I got Salmon- It was the best fish we have tasted
For dessert we all had a chocolate lava cake-way too good.
Thanks Biya!!
Most of our time on the Big Island was spent at the pool
laying out, reading & swimming
Just what I love most
We had such an amazing trip and we are so grateful we were able to go with family and make so many new memories.
Thanks Mom and Dad for the awesome 2 week Christmas Break
